The Cockburns Special Reserve Port as first created in 1969. Made to bridge the gap between vintage and younger ports – the Cockburns Special Reserve Port created a new category. This port wine is matured in oak casks for five years. Made from the the finest vineyards of the Douro Valley.
One the nose, the port wine has intense red cherry aromas with subtle notes of strawberry and plum. On the palate, this wine is sweet and well rounded with berry flavours leading to a peppery and dry finish.
Best paired with cheeses or rich, nutty, or chocolate desserts.
