The Glenlivet Captains Reserve was inspired by Captain Bill Grant Smith, the great grandson of the founder George Smith. This single malt begins its journey from bourbon and sherry casks to selectively finish in cognac casks. This combination makes you wanted the Scottish Speyside valleys and the French Vineyards with every sip.
Rich gold in colour, the Captains Reserve has aromas of honey and apricot jam coupled with notes of sweet cinnamon bread and hints of liquorice. On the palate, discernable flavours of mandarin, poached pears and chocolate dipped raisins rush through with an incredibly smooth and luscious finish.
