Home Cocktail Series 1 – Jammin’ Strawberry Daiquiri (Red Wine and Rum)

Who on earth has Angostura bitters at home? We definitely don’t! If you do, this “Home Cocktail Series” ain’t for you. We focus on helping you craft amazing cocktails with absolutely basic ingredients that you have at home. After all, all it takes is a little bit of effort and you can have an amazing Strawberry Daiquiri at hand. We promise that this little bit of effort will be worth it!

HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE:

10 minutes

HOW MANY CAN YOU SERVE:

1 Pitcher (Serves 6 to 8 people)

WHAT YOU NEED:

1 Bottle of Jam Jar Sweet Shiraz
100ml of Rockland White Rum
100ml of Lemonade (or home-made lemonade)
50g of white sugar
250g fresh Strawberries
Basil leaves

HOW TO MAKE IT:

  1. Add strawberries, basil leaves, and sugar to the pitcher.
  2. Squash with a spoon until the strawberries become juicy.
  3. Pour in the lemonade, rum, and Sweet Shiraz.
  4. Stir to mix all ingredients together.
  5. Refrigerate for a minimum of 4 hours.
  6. Stir again and serve with ice. Garnish with basil leaves and place a strawberry on the side of the glass.
