The Auchentoshan 12 Years is spectacular scotch that is first distilled thrice. The whisky is then matured for twelve years in bourbon and sherry casks in the Lowland region of Scotland. This single malt has a visually pleasing crisp golden honey hue. On the nose, there are discernible notes of creme brulee. This is followed by a burst of citrus and then the signature Auchentoshan notes of nuttiness and green leafiness. On the palate, the whisky is exceptionally smooth with sweet notes and hints of tangerine and lime. The finish is gingerly and slightly dry with a pleasant nuttiness that lingers.
