The Brancott Estate Pinot Noir is an excellent Marlborough Pinot Noir from the grassy highlands of New Zealand. Bright ruby red in colour, the wine has aromas of vanilla, red berry fruits and oak. On the palate – the wine is fruit forward with flavours of ripe cherry, strawberry and ?plums. Medium bodied – the tannins are well integrated with persistent flavours of red fruit and oak on the finish.
Do you know that Brancott Estate employs nearly 2000 sheep to help with the grape harvest each year? Leaf removal is essential to Pinot Noir grapes as the grapes produce the best flavours when exposed to sunlight. The sheep graze on these leaves. They are much quicker than humans or machines and measure around the same height as the plants too. Shear genius (pun intended).
