The Hennessy XO Cognac was first created in 1870 by Maurice Hennessy for his circle of friends. The extra old (XO) cognac that becomes Hennessy XO is aged for a minimum of 10 years in French Oak barrels. The blends are selected based on their power, energy, and their capacity to achieve roundness over time.
On the palate, this cognac is greeted with warm flavours of candied fruits. This is followed by a slowly rising heat which unveils the taste of the eaux-de-vie aged patiently in oak barrels. Strong spicy notes flow with a hint of chocolate . The cognac has a long oak finish.
Best served neat or over ice.
