The Jacobs Creek Double Barrel Shiraz is crafted to perfection by exclusively using superior quality Barossa Valley Shiraz grapes. The unique Double Barrel technique follows. The wine is initially matured in traditional French and American Oak wine barrels for up to 18 months. This is then transferred to be finished in Whisky barrels for 8 to 12 weeks adding layers of complexity.
The Jacobs Creek Double Barrel Shiraz has intense aromas of vanilla, cedar, and buttered toast with hints of cashew and pecan nuts. On the palate, blackberry and ripe plum flavours rush with soft cherry notes with a soft finish.
Best paired with pan seared scotch fillet of beef wrapped in smoky bacon.
