The Glen Scotia Double Cask is a fantastic whisky into the world of Campbeltown Single Malt Scotch whisky. The whisky is initially matured in first fill bourbon barrels, and the finished for 12 months in Pedro Xim?nez Sherry Casks. This gives the whisky a distinctly rich and spicy fruit flavours coupled with unique Campbeltown notes.
The whisky has aromas of crem? caramel and toffee notes coupled with fruit flavours such as apple and peach with hints of sea spray. On the palate, discernible notes of spicy rich fruits, fudge, and toffee can be identified. The finish is extended with Vanilla Oak and gentle spice.
