The Macallan Double Cask 15 Years is a well balance single malt Scotch whisky that is crafted by harmoniously bringing together two oaks into one exceptional single malt. The Sherry seasoned Amercian oak casks adds delicate vanilla flavours while the Eurpoean oak casks bring out the subtle spice. The casks combine to deliver a whisky with a sweet, warm taste, and character.
The whisky has a beautiful golden butterscotch hue. Aromas of dried fruit, butterscotch, and baked apple fill the nose with balanced notes of chocolate and smooth oak. On the palate, The Macallan Double Cask 15 Years has flavours of sweet raisin and sultana. This is then followed by flavours of cinnamon and nutmeg alongside creamy vanilla. The finish is medium with lingering oak and spice.
